2026 Season Parent & Player Information Package
"The Standard of Blue Pride Excellence"
Welcome from Head Coach Lamont Penn
Welcome to the 2026 Attleboro High School Football program. This package contains all critical information regarding our team culture, academic standards, operational schedules, and communication protocols for the upcoming season. Our program is built on structural alignment, accountability, and an uncompromising standard of effort. We look forward to partnering with you to develop elite student-athletes who represent our school and community with pride.
1. Program Culture & Core Values
Culture is a way of life—the behaviors, beliefs, and values that we accept, pass along, and reinforce daily. Culture is how you connect people. Our program is anchored by five non-negotiable core pillars:
Character: The combination of your thoughts, habits, and priorities. Doing the right thing when no one is watching.
Discipline: Do what you are supposed to do, when you are supposed to do it, exactly how it should be done, all the time.
Effort: An attitude. Be relentless and compete in every single rep. It takes zero athletic ability to give 100% effort.
Toughness: Performing at your absolute highest level of talent and skill, regardless of the competitive circumstances.
Competition: Always compete. Never assume or expect that a spot, position, or victory is yours. Embrace the battle.
The 10K Code: Our Response
To achieve sustainable success, every player must commit to our internal execution code:
Fuel The Internal Core (The Energy): Let your obsession be your engine. Bring maximum intensity and a positive attitude to every single meeting and practice rep. Energy is contagious.
Pay The Rent (The Sacrifice): Mastery demands what mediocrity keeps. What are you willing to give up for something you have never had? Growth requires service and sacrifice.
Lock The Coordinates (The Direction): If an activity or attitude does not move the needle forward for this team, it does not belong in our room. Strict adherence to alignment and assignment is mandatory.
2. Communication Protocols
Coach-to-Player Communication
We believe in radical honesty and clear expectations. Coaches will provide continuous verbal and film-based feedback. Players are expected to actively listen, maintain eye contact, and implement coaching adjustments immediately.
Parent-to-Coach Guidelines
We welcome open lines of communication regarding your child's mental well-being, academic standing, or behavioral development. However, coaches will not discuss playing time, coaching strategies, play-calling, or other student-athletes with parents.
The 24-Hour Rule & Chain of Command
To ensure constructive dialogue, we enforce a mandatory 24-Hour Rule. Parents must wait 24 hours after a game before requesting a meeting. Communication must follow this explicit structural chain of command:
Step 1: The student-athlete speaks directly with their position coach to seek feedback.
Step 2: If unresolved, the student-athlete requests a meeting involving themselves, the position coach, and the Head Coach.
Step 3: If a parent meeting is requested, it will be scheduled on a weekday during school hours and must include the student-athlete, the Head Coach, and a designated staff member.
3. Academic Standards & Leadership Development
The 2.5 Team GPA Target
Being a Bombardier means being a student first. We hold our roster to an elite academic threshold. While MIAA standards dictate baseline eligibility, our program target is a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Academic tracking will be executed via weekly progress reports. Failure to maintain the standard will result in mandatory structured study halls and progressive athletic restrictions.
Leadership Course & Council
Leadership is a skilled trade that must be taught and practiced. Selected rising seniors and emerging underclassmen will participate in our off-season Leadership Course. From this group, the Leadership Council will be formed to act as the internal accountability voice of the locker room, bridging the gap between players and the coaching staff.
Spirituality & Service
We are dedicated to developing the whole individual. Our program will regularly participate in community service initiatives across Attleboro to reinforce the humility of serving others. We respect all personal backgrounds and foster an inclusive environment centered on brotherhood and communal responsibility.
4. Operational Schedules

6. College Recruiting Protocol
For student-athletes looking to compete at the next level, our staff operates as a direct liaison to college coaches across the country. To maximize exposure, families must execute the following timeline:
Freshman/Sophomore Year: Focus entirely on classroom performance (building the core GPA) and mastering athletic fundamentals.
Junior Year (Fall/Winter): Compile highlight film via Hudl. Register officially with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
Junior Year (Spring/Summer): Schedule unofficial college visits, attend designated exposure camps, and distribute academic transcripts to prospective programs.
7. The Blue Pride Gridiron Club
The Gridiron Club is the lifeblood of our program's off-field success. Every parent is automatically a member, and active volunteerism is heavily encouraged. The club directly funds team meals, end-of-season banquets, advanced safety equipment, and player apparel packs. Monthly meetings are held on the third Monday of each month in the High School at 6:00 PM.
